About

Tria Via (TREE-ah VEE-ah)—Latin for “The Threefold Way,” is a weekly resources for Catholics who want more than just going to church.

And here’s how it began…

We started noticing something at Mass.

People would show up—week after week, year after year—and you could see it in their faces. They weren’t there. Not really. Going through the motions. Standing, sitting, kneeling on cue. Listening to readings they’d heard a hundred times without actually hearing them.

And when we’d talk to them after—good people, faithful people—they’d say things like:

I know I should feel something, but I don’t.”

“I keep showing up, but I don’t know why anymore.”

These weren’t people who’d left the Church. They were people who stayed—but somewhere along the way, they’d gone hollow.

And honestly? We’ve been there too.

So we started asking: What if there was something that helped people prepare for Mass, engage during Mass, and actually live what they received after?

Not another devotional app. Not a theology course. Just a simple, weekly rhythm that met people where they were.

That’s Tria Via. (Curious about who’s behind Tria Via? Find out here →)

What It Actually Is

Every Friday, we publish a post to help you prepare for Mass, engage during Mass, and live what you received after. The rhythm is simple: read, attend, practice, repeat.

Who This Is For

Whether you’ve been Catholic for six months or sixty years, whether you’re sitting in the pew or serving at the altar—if you want to move from routine attendance to interior participation, Tria Via is for you.

Maybe you show up at Mass but leave feeling unchanged. Maybe you believe, but it feels distant—intellectual, not lived. Maybe the readings fly by too fast to process, or you’ve tried other resources but they feel like consumption, not transformation.

Tria Via doesn’t diagnose what’s wrong. It invites you to notice what’s already there.

Each week follows a simple rhythm: prepare for Mass, engage during Mass, live what you received after. Not another program to complete. Just a weekly pulse that helps you recognize where the Gospel is already present in your life—and respond to the invitation you’ve been receiving all along.

If any of that resonates, you’re in the right place.

What This Isn’t

We’re not theologians. Not spiritual directors. Definitely, not trying to be your guru!

We’re Catholics just like you, who see the gap between showing up and being present. We see people who want more but don’t know how to access it.

So we built a bridge.

This isn’t:

  • A theology course
  • A Bible study program
  • A devotional app
  • A parish replacement
  • Something you need a group for (though you can use it with one if you want)

It’s just a weekly companion—something that walks alongside you as you learn to actually inhabit what the Church has been offering all along.

The 8-Week Check-In

Every couple months, we’ll remind you to pause and ask yourself:

Am I noticing the Gospel differently at Mass?
Have I responded differently in my actual life?
Is this helping—or is it becoming another checkbox?

Then you choose:

Keep going if it’s working.
Take a break if you’re feeling saturated.
Invite someone else if you’re ready to walk with them the way this has walked with you.

No guilt. No tracking. Just honest self-assessment.

One More Thing

This is free. It will stay free.

No paywalls. No premium tiers. No locked content.

But it takes time to write, edit, and sustain this weekly. If Tria Via has helped you and you’re able to support it, give what feels right. Whether it’s the cost of a coffee ($5) or a month of web hosting ($20), your contribution helps keep this work alive for others who are searching.

Can’t give right now? That’s okay. Keep walking. The content is yours either way.
