🤔 You might wonder…
Do I need to start at Week 1?
No. Start wherever the Church is. If you discover Tria Via in the middle of Ordinary Time, jump in that Friday. The liturgical year is cyclical—there’s no “behind.”
What if I miss a week?
No guilt. Just pick up the next Friday. The rhythm continues whether you’re with us every week or sporadically. This isn’t a course with prerequisites—it’s a companion.
Can I do this with a group?
Absolutely. Tria Via works solo, but it also works beautifully in small groups. Use the reflection prompts as discussion starters. Walk the weekly practice together. Hold each other accountable gently—not to perform, but to notice.
How much time does this actually take?
Friday: 3–5 minutes to read the post
Sunday: 1 minute to notice the anchor verse at Mass (you’re already there anyway)
Monday–Thursday: 30 seconds to 2 minutes daily for the practice
Total weekly commitment: ~10–15 minutes. Less time than scrolling social media. More impact than you’d expect.
What if I don’t understand the readings?
That’s why we provide context. Every post includes a “Lens”—a saint’s story, a teaching, a cultural or theological connection—to help you see the Gospel fresh. You don’t need to be a Scripture scholar. You just need to be willing to notice.
Is this only for people who feel disconnected?
No. It’s for anyone who wants to engage Mass more fully. Some people come here feeling hollow. Others come already engaged but wanting structure. Both are welcome.
What if the practice feels uncomfortable?
Good. That means it’s working. Growth happens at the edge of comfort, not in the center of it. If a practice feels too easy, it’s probably not stretching you. If it feels impossible, scale it back. The goal is sustainable discomfort, not heroic effort.
Do I need to buy anything to use Tria Via?
No. Everything you need is free—the weekly blog posts, reflection prompts, and practices.
However, some people find that writing by hand deepens their reflection. For them, we’ve created the Tria Via Journal Companion—a structured notebook with space for weekly prompts, practice tracking, and seasonal reflection.
It’s optional. Many people journal in whatever notebook they already have. But if you want something designed specifically for this rhythm, it’s available on Amazon:
Australia | Canada | Italy | United Kingdom | United States
Do I have to do both practices (At Mass + After Mass)?
No. Try one. Try both. Try neither and just sit with the anchor verse. This is invitation, not obligation. You’re learning what helps you show up alive—and that looks different for everyone.
The 8 Week Check-In
If you’ve been walking with Tria Via for a while, pause here. Not to grade yourself—just to notice.
Ask Yourself:
- At Mass: Are you recognizing the Gospel now? Does something in you lean forward when it’s proclaimed?
- In daily life: Have you responded differently this week than you might have two months ago?
- With the practice: Is it still making you slightly uncomfortable—or has it become another checkbox?
- Honest question: Are you using this as a compass (weekly reorientation) or a crutch (can’t feel spiritual without it)?
Three Paths Forward:
Continue — It’s working. Keep walking. See you next Friday.
Pause — You’re saturated or feeling dependent. Take a season off. Come back when you’re hungry again.
Lead — You’re ready to invite someone else into this. Forward them Week 1. Walk with them.
No forms. No tracking. Just honest discernment.
Whatever you choose—go in peace.
You’re not behind. You’re right where you need to be.
Let’s begin.
